Abstract
The present study describes the preparation, characterization, and thermal decomposition of the compound Ni(MnO4)2·xH2O, which was synthesized by a coprecipitation method at a low temperature. The role of this compound as a precursor in the synthesis of a Ni-Mn spinel was determined via X-ray, TG-DTA, electron diffraction, and EDAX measurements.
