Abstract
⺠A temperature-dependent model for EYDFA has been illustrated with results for the gain and noise figure. ⺠Small signal powers influence the performance of the amplifier, and the requirements to increase the signal gain and to reduce the noise figure. ⺠A 0.3 m-long erbium/ytterbium co-doped fiber (EYDF) in a single-pass configuration has been used.
