Abstract
A large increase (up to 30Â cm/GW) of the low temperature two-photon absorption in YAB:Cr nanocrystallites (NC) incorporated within olygoetheracrylate polymer matrices was found. The optimal concentration and size of the NC correspond to the 3% by weight and about 24Â nm in diameter, respectively. The Cr ions inside investigated NC play the crucial role in the observed non-linear optical phenomena.
