Abstract
In this work, we study theoretically the variation of the diffuse reflectance of laser crystal powders with the absorption coefficient of the powder material. As a result of the analysis, we propose a method to estimate the transport mean-free-path in laser crystal powders by using the experimental spectral reflectance of the powder and the absorption coefficient of the crystal material.
