Abstract
We report the formation of CdS nanocrystals in colloidal solution of glycerin at various temperatures. A detailed systematic study on the size variation of these particles with temperature has been carried out using the UV/VIS spectroscopy in these colloids. Particle size variation as a function of temperature has been observed. The temperature dependent spectra showed a red shift indicating an increase in size of the CdS nanocrystals with the increase of temperature.
