Abstract
Biphasic ceramic mixtures of different hydroxyapatite and β-tricalciumphosphate (β-TCP) ratios and single phase β-TCP were prepared by a wet chemical process by adjusting the initial Ca/P ratios of the precursors under constant pH and temperature conditions. Increasing calcium deficiency led to a gradual increase in β-TCP content of the mixtures.
