Abstract
Ca addition affects the solidification process of AZ91D alloy, such as elevating the tendency of divorce eutectic and the formation temperature of Al2Ca phase. Sr addition inhibits the influence of Ca addition on the solidification process, therefore improving the hot-crack property of Ca-contained AZ91D alloy.
