Abstract
Texture evolution in equal channel angular extrusion (ECAE) via route BC is investigated for pure copper and aluminum that have different initial textures. The agreement between simulated and measured textures confirms that the ECAE texture differences in the two materials are primarily attributed to their different initial textures, rather than other differences such as stacking fault energy.
