Abstract
Differential scanning calorimetry measurements were carried out for cold rolled Fe100âxAlx (x = 5-30) alloys. All of the cold rolled specimens showed an exothermic peak at around 470 K. The released heat was maximum at 15-20 at.% Al alloys. The activation energy of the exothermic reaction was 115 kJ/mol and 156 kJ/mol for 20% cold-rolled Fe-15%Al and Fe-25%Al alloys, respectively.
