Abstract
An ultrafine (α + θ) structure is successfully produced through warm cross-wedge rolling at the outer layer of high carbon steel rod where equiaxed α grains and fully spheroidized θ particles are in submicron scale. In the central region of the rod, original lamellar θ is fragmented but the spheroidization is not complete.
