Abstract
This paper discusses the influence of TiB precipitates on the nucleation, growth, and morphology of the α phase precipitated during the solid-state β â α + β transformation in α/β Ti alloy composites. Slow cooling from above the β-transus temperature forms equiaxed α precipitates within the β matrix in these composites.
