Abstract
The isothermal crystallization of Zr41.25Ti13.75Ni10Cu12.5Be22.5 (at.%) bulk metallic glass in the supercooled liquid region is studied by X-ray diffraction, differential scanning calorimetry and transmission electron microscopy. The kinetics and the underlying mechanisms for the nucleation and growth of the crystalline phases precipitated in the two-stage crystallization process are discussed.
