Abstract
Nano-sized precipitates were produced in nitrogen-containing commercial martensitic steels by a new thermomechanical treatment (TMT). A steel with the TMT should have a maximum operating temperature >50 °C over the steel given a conventional heat treatment. A >100 °C increase should be possible for a steel developed for the TMT.
