Abstract
The precipitation of metastable phases during differential scanning calorimetry experiments of cold deformed AA6022 is investigated by means of transmission electron microscopy. It is found that βⳠprecipitates are replaced by βⲠand QⲠin the predeformed samples. The results show that at higher temperatures only QⲠprecipitates are present in the microstructure of the predeformed samples.
