Abstract
DSC data from melt-spun ribbons of two Al-Ni-Y-Co-Fe alloys have revealed three distinct stages in the devitrification. TEM studies show that these stages correspond to the formation of fcc α-Al, Al9(Ni,Co,Fe)2, and a mixture of Al19(Ni,Co,Fe)5Y3 + Al23(Ni,Co,Fe)6Y4, respectively.
