Abstract
High-remanent Sm-Co permanent magnetic alloys modified with Nb and C have been produced with isotropic grain structures consisting of 100-200Â nm SmCo7 and 10-15Â nm fcc Co phases, with the Co phase comprising only 2-4Â vol%. Remanence ratios of 0.7 have been consistently observed, with coercive forces approaching 10Â kOe.
