Abstract
This paper reports the luminescence properties of porous Zn (p-Zn) prepared by electrochemical etching and spark processing. Further, the post annealing of p-Zn prepared by anodic etching and spark processing of Zn in various ambient gases (O2, N2, and air) with reduced vacuum pressure are also performed and luminescence properties are studied. Three luminescence bands, i.e., the blue/violet, green and UV are identified from these porous Zn. Further, PLE spectra are carried out on these samples. The relationship among processing parameter, structural properties, luminescence properties and origins of luminescence bands are investigated.
