Abstract
The quasi-one-dimensional micro/nanostructures of metal-organic complex Ag-TCNQ were successfully synthesized via the reaction between Ag film and TCNQ dissolved in acetonitrile. X-ray diffraction and scanning electron microscopy confirmed that the obtained Ag-TCNQ was crystalline micro/nanowires and microtubes. It has been found that the formation of these micro/nanostructures proceeds through the nucleation and directional growth steps, and is governed by the nucleation-diffusion-controlled growth mechanism.
