Abstract
Lu2âxTbxSiO5 (x = 0.02, 0.04, 0.06, 0.08 and 0.10) nanometer phosphors with different content of doping Tb3+ ions were matrix-inducing synthesized by in situ composing rare earth salicylate coordination polymers and polyacrylamide, tetraethyl orthosilicate. Both X-ray powder diffraction (XRD) and scanning electronic microscope (SEM) results show that these materials have the nanometer size of 80-120 nm. The relative emission intensity has been monitored as a function of Tb3+ ions' concentration for both 5D4 â 7FJ and 5D3 â 7FJ transitions. As for the higher Tb3+ concentration, a cross relaxation process between Tb3+ ions results in the quenching of the corresponding blue emission of 5D3 â 7FJ transitions.
