Abstract
⺠A method for compressing optical scanning hologram by 64 times has been developed. ⺠The compression method is based on delta modulation and row decimation. ⺠Encoding and decoding processes are low in complexity, enabling real-time operation. ⺠Small amount of storage memory is needed in the encoding and decoding processes. ⺠The decoded hologram is real and can be displayed on a spatial light modulator.
