Abstract
âºDue to presence of the scattered data on laser gain-coefficients in self-terminating gas lasers, a theoretical model for predicting gain coefficients in these lasers has been introduced. âºThe model is based on experimental measurements, simulation study for gain coefficient in N2-lasers, and applying the basic realization of laser physics. âºIn this model one- and two-dimensional presentations of lasers are introduced, where the possibility of predicting N2-laser gain coefficient for different geometrical configurations and input voltages was possible. âºThe model was able to predict the reported gain coefficients in CVLs and excimer lasers. âºThis is the first realization of macroscopic presentation of lasers of short pulse widths and the model is able to direct many future measurements in this category correctly.
