Abstract
► Designed highly birefringent As2Se3 glass photonic crystal fiber (PCF). ► Analyzed by using fully vectorial finite element method. ► Effective indices, confinement loss, birefringence, and chromatic dispersion are calculated. ► Achieved birefringence 2.2*10-3 at operating wavelength λ=1.55µm. ► As2Se3 PCF provides lower chromatic dispersion and less confinement loss compared to silica PCF.
