Abstract
► We study the properties of a PSFBG under the influence of acousto-optic effect. ► This allows a fine tuning of the notch depth and bandwidth until its suppression. ► The obtained results can be used in the development of fine tuned optical filters. ► We obtain fast response times of the device using very low power source. ► The method allows for an actively tunable cavity Q, with potential applications.
