Abstract

âº The CO2 laser-based lidar ATLAS was used to scan the plume of Stromboli volcano. âº Water vapor concentration, wind speed and water vapor flux were measured. âº The lidar measurement of flux was in agreement with conventional techniques. âº It is the first time that a lidar measures the water vapor flux in a volcanic plume.
