Abstract
⺠We propose an optical cross connect filter using photonic crystal ring resonators coupled waveguide crossings. ⺠We extend our concept for cross connection applications by demonstrating a 1Ã2 photonic crystal based cross connect filter which utilizes a heterostructure. ⺠We investigate the properties of these components numerically by using the finite-difference time-domain method.
