Abstract
⺠Linear Fresnel Collector and Parabolic Trough are compared in this study. ⺠Comparison is done with respect to cost and to performance by simulation. ⺠Both concentrating collectors are operated in a 50 MW solar thermal power plant. ⺠Direct steam generation is considered for both collector types. ⺠Break-even cost for the Linear Fresnel are determined for several cases.
