Abstract
⺠Solar steam can augment steam injection gas turbine (STIG) plants, with Solar Fraction up to 50%. ⺠Low-cost concentrating collectors such as linear Fresnel can provide the needed steam conditions. ⺠Efficiency from heat (average of fuel and solar) to electricity can be in the range 40-55%. ⺠Very low water consumption can be achieved with an air cooled condenser.
