Abstract
⺠Inverter saturation or clipping occurs because of cloud enhancement and clear sky exceedance. ⺠2.65% of PV energy was estimated to be lost to inverter saturation for a system in San Diego. ⺠We find an optimal inverter sizing ratio of R = 1.22. ⺠The optimal inverter sizing ratio depends on the timescale of the input data and the site.
