Abstract
ⶠMurakami's approach to metal fatigue can be used considering indentation as defect. ⶠPlastically deformed zone around indentations can be considered the starter of fatigue cracks. ⶠExperimental measurement of the deformed zone gives the best estimation of fatigue limit.
