Abstract
ⶠThe Co80Pd20 alloys undercooled were performed by method of molten glasses denucleation combined with cyclic superheating. The highest undercooling achieved is 415 K. ⶠDense-regular fault ribbons were detected in high undercooling grains of Co80Pd20 alloys. It provided a potent experimental evidence of stress existed in solidification process at high undercooling. ⶠThe stress developed in the coherent dendrite network was calculated. Microstructure investigations combined with the stress calculation validate the faults originated from the stress induced plastic deformation.
