Abstract
▶ The Co80Pd20 alloys undercooled were performed by method of molten glasses denucleation combined with cyclic superheating. The highest undercooling achieved is 415 K. ▶ Dense-regular fault ribbons were detected in high undercooling grains of Co80Pd20 alloys. It provided a potent experimental evidence of stress existed in solidification process at high undercooling. ▶ The stress developed in the coherent dendrite network was calculated. Microstructure investigations combined with the stress calculation validate the faults originated from the stress induced plastic deformation.
