Abstract
ⶠThe effects of deformation on the microstructure and mechanical properties of ZA62 Mg alloys were studied for the first time. ⶠThe ECAP was conducted on the Mg-6Zn-2Al alloy successfully. ⶠThe “stripe” structure and a “bimodal” grain size distribution were found. ⶠSuperplasticity was achieved in ZA62 alloy processed after two-step ECAP through 10 pass (2 passes at 473 K and 2-8 passes at 423 K) and the highest elongation and strain rate sensitivity (m-value) reached 520% and 0.45, respectively.
