Abstract
ⶠECAE of two CP Ti grades refined the as-received coarse-grained microstructures. ⶠNo major difference in UFG grain sizes despite 150 °C difference in ECAE temperatures. ⶠSignificant improvement in the strength levels of the two grades CP Ti. ⶠHigher strain hardening in the UFG grade-4 Ti is due to higher impurity content. ⶠThe impurity content dictates the minimum processing temperature possible.
