Abstract
ⶠAcoustic emission (AE) from deformed Mg-based composites. ⶠTwo AE peaks have been found through each test. ⶠFirst AE peak is ascribed to twinning and collective dislocation motion. ⶠSecond AE peak is due to fibre failure and debonding at the interfaces. ⶠAE and composite properties are influenced by the load transfer to the fibres.
