Abstract
â¶ 30CrNiMo8HH has two distinct cracking mechanisms in torsion and biaxial loading. â¶ Specimen life is reduced by a maximum factor of five when the loading phase angle increased. â¶ Strain energy density parameter correlates fatigue results very well. â¶ The energy-based life prediction method successfully estimates life over all ranges of loading paths.
