Abstract
ⶠEffect of corrosive environment was clearly observed in low ÎK region. ⶠFatigue crack growth rate decreased with decreasing frequency from 15 to 0.5 Hz. ⶠCrack closure was the dominant factor for the frequency effect from 15 to 0.5 Hz. ⶠFatigue crack growth rates became higher at frequencies lower than 0.05 Hz. ⶠHigher crack growth rates were attributed to the corrosion attack at the crack tip.
