Abstract
â¶ If α < β < 1 and Î1 = Î2 > 0, unstable equilibrium position exist for screw dislocation. â¶ If β < α < 1 and Î1 = Î2 > 0, local hardening at interface due to the interface stress. â¶ If β < α< 1 and Î1 = Î2> 0, screw dislocation will be attracted to coated particle. â¶ For α < 1 and β < 1, coated particle will always attract screw dislocation and repulsion if β > 1. â¶ For α > 1 and β < 1, stable equilibrium position exist for screw dislocation. α and β are the respective shear modulus of the inclusion and the coating normalized by the matrix's shear modulus.
