Abstract
▶ Addition of 0-4%Si suppress dislocation gliding by solution hardening. ▶ An increase in Si from 4% to 6% lowers a work hardening rate. ▶ Lowering work hardening rate delays the occurrence of dislocation gliding. ▶ Above effects maintain ɛ-martensitic transformation as a single deformation mode. ▶ The single ɛ-martensitic transformation provides a good shape recovery strain.
