Abstract
▶ Two shrinkage rate maxima during low-temperature SPS of NiO nanoparticles were observed. ▶ These were related to densification by particle sliding and by diffusional grain boundary sliding. ▶ Strong effects of the surface and interfacial processes were observed during the SPS.
