Abstract
⺠AFM is a powerful technique for the topological characterization of IOLs. ⺠Acrylic hydrophobic IOLs have least surface roughness properties and PCO incidence. ⺠Acrylic hydrophobic IOLs may be ideally biocompatible for lowering PCO formation. ⺠Manufacturers need to optimize various steps involved in fabrication of IOLs.
