Abstract
Uniform ZnO urchin-like architectures were synthesized by hydrothermal decomposing Zn(OH)42â precursor with the assistance of dodecylamine (DDA) at 180 °C for 12 h. FESEM images display that the ZnO 3D urchin-like architectures are constructed of well-aligned ZnO nanorods with diameters of 50-80 nm and lengths up to 2 μm. Room temperature photoluminescence spectra of ZnO 3D architectures show an intensive ultraviolet emission at â¼385 nm and weak green emission, which indicated their high structural and optical quality.
