Abstract
⺠Iron-based bulk metallic glasses (BMGs) have been successfully prepared. ⺠The iron content is as high as 78 â¼Â 81 at.%. ⺠The critical diameter of alloy rods for glass formation is 1-2 mm. ⺠The as-cast Fe81Mo1P7.5C5.5B2Si3 BMG possesses a saturation magnetization of 1.64 T. ⺠Flux treatment plays a favorable role on improving glass forming ability of the BMGs.
