Abstract
												⺠Porous Ni3Al alloy was prepared through the Kirkendall effect. ⺠Porous Ni3Al stayed stable in strong alkali solution after 2000 h immersion. ⺠The alloy had more positive free corrosion potential than porous Ni and Ti. ⺠A Low corrosion current and a wide passive region was found in porous Ni3Al. ⺠During the corrosion procedure of porous Ni3Al, diffusion became the control step.
