Abstract
⺠We achieve the dynamic fracture of a tough bulk metallic glass. ⺠We observe a fractographic evolution: vein pattern, chevron and crack microbranching. ⺠We determine the terminal crack velocity for the onset of microbranching instability. ⺠The dynamic branched daughter cracks exhibit “directional stability”.
