Abstract
⺠Mechanically milled Fe-Al powders are heated in an alternating magnetic field. ⺠Temperature increase depends on the square of field strength and the frequency. ⺠The milled powders undergo a significant heat output during heating. ⺠The activation energy for the formation of B2-structured FeAl is 67 ± 10 kJ molâ1.
