Abstract
â¶ The 1/1 approximant Ag42In42Gd16 is a spin glass with freezing temperature of 3.6(1)Â K. â¶ The spin freezing process is a true equilibrium phase transition rather than a nonequilibrium phenomenon. â¶ The Debye temperature of this compound is 200(1)Â K.
