Abstract
⺠Risk-taking behavior and the safety records of e-bikes and bicycles are compared. ⺠E-bikers are more likely to be risk-taking than bikers at intersections, but less so than automobile drivers. ⺠Red-light running is the leading cause of incidents in which e-bikes were at-fault. ⺠The presence of e-bikes increases the number of incidents at signalized intersections.
