Abstract
⺠Effects of gust, snow and extreme temperature on railway disruptions are estimated. ⺠Bad weather accounts for 4-8% of railway disruptions. ⺠Knock-on effects of adverse weather on delays and cancellations are derived. ⺠Decomposition of unreliability due to infrastructure and operations is carried out. ⺠Welfare loss of 1 SD increase in disruptions is â¬80 million per year.
