Abstract
This communication examines carbon dioxide levels in a small passenger car in city driving. It looks at situations with only a driver and when an adult passenger is on board; in both cases with and without air ventilation on.
Research highlights► The high level of carbon dioxide is danger in small cars. ► The carbon dioxide level increases rapidly while ventilation system is turned on. ► The permissible limit of carbon dioxide is exceeded in 3 min.
