Abstract
⺠High yield Cd hexagonal nanosheets are prepared by thermal decomposition of CdO. ⺠Vapor-solid mechanism mainly governs the formation of Cd hexagonal nanosheets. ⺠PL spectrum for Cd nanosheets exhibits one UV and two visible emission bands.
