Abstract
A novel method for preparing PbS/hyperbranched polyester nanocomposite hollow spheres through coordination and organometallic chemistry method was presented. Their molecular structure crystallinity, shape of crystallites, and optical property were characterized with Fourier transform infrared (FTIR), X-ray diffraction, transmission electron microscopy (TEM), and photoluminescence (PL), respectively. The hollow spheres were of the external diameter of about 50-70 nm and the wall thickness of about 10-20 nm. The possible formation mechanism was also proposed.
